Anyway, make sure you are running 9.4.7 and then I would love to hear the feedback on IPv6!snom m9http://snom-m9.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4021538910772685248.post-16908911174652377012011-09-20T15:27:05.307-04:002011-09-20T15:27:05.307-04:00Small comments from another tech guy :) I was sear...Small comments from another tech guy :) I was searching for an all in one solution supporting wifi (wpa)/pbx service for my home network so I could do some *fancy* things if needed. Not to say that I am not a big fan of DECT with all the vulnerability found recently.

I first investigated the samsung soho SMT-W5100 however the phone provided could only connect to the wifi AP provided for some reason which defeat the point of getting a wifi technology for compatibility! After further research I have found the snom m9 (currently ordered). I was surprised by the network features; PCAP, ldap integration ... and of course the IPv6.

In regards of the IPv6 network configuration stack I can only agree that DHCPv6 is better all the way through and easier to control/manage. I'll do some testing in a real IPv6 home network.

There is a function that I haven't seen on the m9 so far which is the capacity to log to a remote syslog server, this might be useful when it comes to debug and or verify the phone bills :)

FabienTheatre Alsacienhttp://www.theatre-eibel.frnoreply@blogger.com
